A thorough knowledge of the properties of the film material is not enough to shape the film smoothly and seamlessly, as our first analysis showed. Complex 3D-shapes, like an army helmet, can be produced by laminating several layers of film on top of each other. The method that is used to date often led to undesirable creases and therefore an unusable product.
Obviously it is now possible to make the helmet without folds or creases.
Furthermore LIME’s solution is generic and enables the producer to effortlessly adapt the product to any new demands the customer might have. Mathware offers more.
